UN WOMEN: THE BRIDAL UNIFORM

In Pakistan, weddings are grand celebrations, yet the country faces one of the highest rates of child marriages globally. To combat this, UN Women launched The Bridal Uniform campaign with the country's top fashion designer Ali Xeeshan at Hum Bridal Couture Week. The runway dazzled with lavish bridal gowns, but the showstopper wore a school uniform adorned with intricate motifs. This stark contrast sent shockwaves, spotlighting the harsh reality faced by young girls: education vs. early marriage.
